Girls Write Now is a unique mentoring program that pairs girls from underserved high schools in New York with professional women writers.
Their track record is exemplary: 100% of the seniors in the program go to college. Over the last few years, I have committed time and energy both to fundraising for GWN and to finding new board members who can help expand the community. I am awed by the girls themselves, how they come to express themselves in writing. Their journey inspires me and I am thrilled to be part of this story in even the smallest way.
